EDO JUDICIARY PREPARES STAFF FOR RETIREMENT

In a bid to prepare its members of staff for a good life after retirement, Edo State Judiciary has organized a one-day seminar for its retiring members of staff.
Declaring the seminar open in Benin City, the Edo State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Esohe Ikponmwen, said it was a unique opportunity for members of staff to have options of what to plan for, while preparing for retirement, explaining that one must be prepared for everything to be done in life.
The Chief Judge tasked the participants to make good use of the opportunity to make adequate preparation, psychologically and otherwise in order to glide seamlessly into retirement, saying it was possible for one to live a better life even after retirement.
She further thanked the resource persons for being available for the seminar, while expressing her confidence in their ability to equip the participants with the much desired tips ad information required to make good preparation for their retirement.
The resources persons at the seminar included Mr. Ehimare Freedom, Director of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture; Mr. Peter Aikhuomobhogbe of Edo ADP; Mr. Godfrey Asiriuwa, Programme Manager, Edo ADP and Prof. J. O. Osamwonyi of the Department of Finance, University of Benin.
Some of the lectures delivered at the seminar were “Fish Farming”, “Sustainable Ventures in Agricultural Development (Plantain Production, Piggery and Fertilizer Application)”, “Snailery and Cane Rabbit” as well as “Importance of Saving”.
