EDO CHIEF JUDGE TAKES OATH IF OFFICE AS SCOUTS PRESIDENT

The Chief Judge of Edo State, Honourable Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa has been invested as the President of the Edo State Scouts Council.
The event which took place at the New Ceremonial Hall within the state High Court premises was attended by Judges, staff of Judiciary and members of other voluntary agencies across the state.
The ceremony was also witnessed by National Scout Commissioners and Board Members.
The Investiture was conducted by the National Chief Commissioner of Scouts Hon. Dave Padopads Awunah.
In his inaugural speech, the chief judge and president of the Edo State scouts council, Honourable Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa explained that he was very happy to accept the singular honour and privilege to serve as the president of the state council of one of the world’s most renowned youth/children based organisation and promised to do all in his power to uphold the scout’s promise and tenets according to the oath he has taken.
Speaking earlier, the Chief Scout’s Commissioner, Hon. Dave Padopads Awunah thanked the Chief Judge for the honour done the association by his acceptance to lead the association in the state. He reminded the Chief Judge that the task of leading may not be easy but success comes with dedicated attention.
Also in attendance was the Chief Commissioner, external relations, Chief Agharese Idubor and other scout commissioners from across the country.
